Houston County students learn more about Constitution Day

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Representative Heath Clark  (Republican, District 147) made a special visit to Shirley Hills Elementary School. He wasn’t there to talk about politics. Instead, he taught the fourth graders about the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

Students paid close attention and asked plenty of questions. All week long different State Senators and Representatives will visit Houston County school children.

The legislators will talk about the importance of our Constitution and the vision of our Founding Fathers.

Students also got booklets and flashcards to help them learn even more about Constitution Day.

Constitution Day is normally observed on September 17th.
