Houston County Senior Named Beta Scholar
A Middle Georgia student is named a National Beta Scholar for 2011. Houston County High School senior Vania Lee is awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used at the school of her choice. Lee plans to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this fall to study Biological Engineering and Music.
Lee is the valedictorian at Houston County High School.
National Beta Club Scholars are selected based on a number of factors including academic excellence, character and community service.
