Houston County Man Hit With Gun, Robbed
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Houston County business owner was struck with a gun and robbed as he returned home Thursday night.
According to a release from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of Freedom Fuels at 1236 Watson Boulevard, 42-year-old Ghanshyam Patel, stated when he pulled into his driveway around 11:30 p.m. and exited his vehicle, a suspect jumped out of the bushes with a gun, demanding money.
Patel told officers he resisted the demand, and that’s when he was struck in the head with the handgun.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. He’s described as 17 to 21 years old and about 5’10” to 6’0″ tall. He weighs between 170lbs and 180lbs. The suspect was wearing a black beanie cap, black jacket, and black pants. The weapon was described as a small black handgun.
The victim received superficial injuries to his head during the assault and was treated on scene.
