Houston County home declared public nuisance
The Perry residence has been a persistent source of drug and other criminal activity spanning several years.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A home in Perry has been declared a public nuisance after years of criminal activity.
In a media release, Houston County District Attorney William Kendall says the home located on Todd Road in Perry has been a persistent source of drug and other criminal activity spanning several years.
Kendall says law enforcement has had over 200 calls to service associated with this address for various crimes and complaints from the public since 2016, regarding multiple drug overdose incidents and drug activity.
The backyard of the residence resembles a trash dump, consisting of piles of garbage, broken furniture, inoperable vehicles and lawn equipment, clothing, human waste, and other debris, according to Kendall.
“As a resident of Houston County, I too believe that those who use a dwelling to abuse law enforcement resources, keep a place for drug users and trafficking, and cause a nuisance to neighbors and the public, should not be allowed to continue to run down our neighborhoods,” Kendall said.
