Houston County School District graduation rate rises to 93.3%
The district outperformed Georgia’s statewide graduation rate by more than six percentage points.
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Houston County School District’s graduation rate has climbed to 93.3% for 2025, according to a news release from the school district. The rate is 6.1 percentage points higher than the state average of 87.2% and reflects a 2.1% increase from the district’s 2024 rate of 91.2%.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Richard Rogers praised the achievement, crediting students, staff, teachers, and families for their commitment. “Our graduation rates continue to improve each year. With a renewed focus and determination to raise this rate across the District, we’re proud to have exceeded our goal once again,” Rogers said. “The dedication and teamwork of our staff, students, teachers, and their families are truly making a difference in our students’ lives. We couldn’t be prouder of every graduate for their perseverance and commitment.”
In 2025, 2,181 students graduated from Houston County schools. Among the district’s high schools, Houston County High posted the highest rate at 96.8%, followed closely by Veterans High at 96.6%. Perry High reported 94.8%, while Warner Robins High reached 90.5%. Northside High recorded 87.8%.
Georgia calculates its graduation rates using a four-year adjusted cohort model required by federal law. The calculation includes students who finish high school within four years but does not account for those who take longer to graduate.
