Houston County Advances to the Second Round of the GHSA State Baseball Championship
The Houston County Bears are moving on to the Sweet Sixteen after a sweep of Apalachee in the first round

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The opening round of the GHSA State Baseball Championship got underway Wednesday.
At The Garden, the 27-5 Houston County Bears swept the 8-20 Apalachee Wildcats to advance to the sweet sixteen.
The Bears won game one 6-0 behind a two-run home run from Kendall Jackson.
HOCO scored four runs in the bottom first in game two to propel them to an 11-0 shutout victory in game two.
Houston County will host the winner of the Brunswick/Villa Rica matchup Tuesday.
