Houston County Takes On Brunswick In Second Round Of Ghsa Playoff Baseball

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Tuesday at The Garden, the Houston County Bears baseball team swept their GHSA second round series with the Brunswick Pirates 7-3 in game one and 12-2 in game two to advance to the Class AAAAA Quarterfinal round.

The Bears move onto their seventh consecutive Elite Eight. Hoco will travel to Marietta to face the 29-3 Pope Greyhounds. A familiar opponent they have faced in the playoffs before, including last season, when the Bears were swept by the Greyhounds in the final four, and two years ago when Houston County lost to Pope in the State Championship.

First Pitch for Game One of this Elite Eight series is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7th at 4:30 p.m.
