House fire sends two people to the hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man and woman were sent to the hospital after a house fire Monday night.

According to Lieutenant Ben Gleaton, from the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, the victims were sent to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.

The fire happened around 9:00 p.m., at 121 Alview Drive.

Gleaton said the fire started on the kitchen stove.

A fire also happened Monday morning at 3631 Houston Avenue.

Gleaton said that fire started in the wall, possibly due to an electric wire or mechanical issue.

No one was in the house.

The fire still remains under investigation.
