House and Senate Approve Political Maps

After three hours of debate the Georgia House and Senate each approved new political maps.

The House voted 108-64 in favor of its map, and the Senate approved its map by a vote of 35-18. This was the first time in the State’s history Republicans drew the lines.

State Representative for District 138 Nikki Randall says, “There are basically some winners and losers as far as how the districts are drawn and how you fair in the areas.”
