(CNN)- Two global blockbusters are making waves in the film world, and both are heading to U.S. theaters soon.

“Ne Zha 2”, the highly anticipated fantasy sequel has taken the international box office by storm. With a staggering $2.2 billion in worldwide earnings, it’s now the highest-grossing movie in Chinese history and the top-grossing non-English film ever.

Packed with action, heart, and mythological flair, the film follows an extraordinary young hero who’s anything but ordinary. The English-dubbed version of Ne Zha 2 is set to arrive in U.S. theaters — including IMAX and 3D screenings — starting August 22.

Acclaimed filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov, who won an Academy Award for 20 Days in Mariupol, returns with a gripping new documentary: “2,000 Miles to Andriivka.” The film follows Ukrainian soldiers as they fight their way through fortified forests in a bold mission to reclaim a Russian-occupied village during the ongoing war. The documentary earned Chernov the Best Director prize at Sundance 2025 and opens in New York on Friday, July 25, with additional cities to follow. It will also air this fall on PBS Frontline.
