Hollywood Minute: Oasis Guitar, Lennon Glasses, and more headline major music auction

Noel Gallagher’s broken guitar, Lennon’s glasses, and other legendary items hit the auction stage in October.

(CNN)- A piece of Oasis history is hitting the auction block. Noel Gallagher’s 1960 Gibson guitar — famously damaged by his brother Liam the night the band broke up in Paris — is one of the star items in Prop Store’s Music Memorabilia Live Auction. The guitar is expected to fetch as much as $660,000.

Other high-profile lots include John Lennon’s “Lost Weekend” glasses, valued at more than $200,000, Elvis Presley’s “Grand Prix” sunglasses, estimated at $10,000 to $20,000, and Michael Jackson’s fedora from his Smooth Criminal video, projected to sell for $50,000 to $100,000.
