(CNN)- “This is Detective Crockett, Miami-Dade PD. Patch me through to your SAC.” That line from 2006’s Miami Vice may not have lit up the box office, but Universal is giving it another shot. A new film based on the iconic 1980s TV series is in the works, with Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski set to lead the project.

In other entertainment news, Johnny Cash fans are in for a rare opportunity. “The Cindy Cash Collection,” one of the largest auctions of the late legend’s personal items, is now live.
