Hollywood Minute: Housemaid sequel, iconic tour, and Stand by Me return
A mix of movie news and music announcements is giving fans plenty to look forward to.
(CNN)- A sequel to the hit thriller “The Housemaid” is officially in the works, with Sydney Sweeney set to reprise her role as Millie in “The Housemaid’s Secret.” She’ll be joined by Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst. According to Lionsgate, the new film will follow Millie as she takes a job working for a mysterious woman she is never allowed to see, setting the stage for another suspense-filled story.
In music, iconic girl groups are joining forces for a major tour. TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue are teaming up for the “It’s Iconic” tour. The 36-city tour is set to kick off August 15 in Franklin, Tennessee, with ticket pre-sales beginning March 24.
Meanwhile, a beloved classic is heading back to the big screen. The film Stand by Me has been remastered for its 40th anniversary. Directed by Rob Reiner and based on a novella by Stephen King, the coming-of-age favorite will return to theaters for a limited one-week run starting March 27.
