Hollywood Minute: Denzel Washington confirms role in “Black Panther 3”

Ryan Coogler has confirmed Washington's involvement in Marvel's "Black Panther 3."

Back in November, Denzel Washington teased that he would have a role in Black Panther 3, a film Marvel has yet to officially announce. Now, director Ryan Coogler has confirmed Washington’s involvement, sharing his excitement on the Nightcap podcast.

“I’ve been dying to work with Denzel,” Coogler said. “I’ve got every intention of working with him on that movie. As long as he’s interested, man, it’s going to happen.” Fans can expect the legendary actor to join the highly anticipated film, which will continue the legacy of the Black Panther series.

Scott Derrickson, director of Doctor Strange and Sinister, is preparing to adapt Christopher Golden’s novel Road of Bones into a supernatural horror film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Derrickson and his writing and producing partner, C. Robert Cargill, are working on the project, which is set in Siberia. Fans of Derrickson’s chilling style can look forward to another eerie tale.

Chet Hanks, part of the country duo Something Out West, has released a new music video for their song “You Better Run.” The video features Hanks channeling his father, Tom Hanks, in a playful homage to the iconic Forrest Gump bench scene. In the video, Chet Hanks sings, “You better run like the devil’s on your tail,” with Tom Hanks making a cameo as well.
