Actor Colman Domingo is joining the cast of Wicked: For Good, bringing his signature charisma to the highly anticipated sequel.

(CNN)- Actor Colman Domingo is joining the cast of Wicked: For Good, bringing his signature charisma to the highly anticipated sequel. The film’s official Instagram account announced that the two-time Oscar nominee will voice the Cowardly Lion in the second half of the Broadway musical adaptation, set to hit theaters November 21.
“How can we cull all that energy into one?” Domingo teased. “It’s been, um, just a really special time.”
Meanwhile, Michael Fassbender — known for roles as Steve Jobs, X-Men’s Magneto, and Macbeth — is taking on another complex historical figure. The actor is set to play Joe Kennedy Sr., patriarch of the legendary political family, in Netflix’s upcoming drama series Kennedy. Details on the rest of the cast and a release date have not yet been announced.
In another emotional development, Eric Dane — best known for Euphoria and Grey’s Anatomy — will guest-star on NBC’s Brilliant Minds as a firefighter living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). The storyline mirrors Dane’s real-life diagnosis, which he publicly shared earlier this year.
“Any viewer would probably think that the storylines they’re seeing were torn from the headlines,” Dane said. He’s scheduled to appear in episode nine of the show’s current season.
