(CNN)- Christian Bale is stepping into the role of Frankenstein’s monster in the upcoming film The Bride. Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the latest reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic tale also stars Jessie Buckley as the monster’s companion. The gothic horror story is expected to terrify audiences when it debuts in 2026.
Another classic is being revived with The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. The action-packed remake of the 1992 thriller follows a family whose life is upended by a dangerous nanny. The film will premiere on Hulu on October 22nd.
And for superhero fans, nostalgia is swinging back onto the big screen. Fathom Entertainment is bringing the original Spider-Man trilogy, starring Tobey Maguire, back to theaters. Moviegoers can relive the web-slinger’s iconic adventures during special screenings the weekends of September 26th and October 3rd.
