Chris Hemsworth and more than a dozen other familiar faces are set to return in Avengers: Doomsday.

(CNN)- Chris Hemsworth and more than a dozen other familiar faces are set to return in Avengers: Doomsday, with Marvel confirming that Hemsworth’s “Thor” will be back alongside Anthony Mackie’s “Captain America,” Sebastian Stan’s “Winter Soldier,” Paul Rudd’s “Ant-Man,” and Simu Liu’s “Shang-Chi,” among others. Fans can expect to see these beloved characters on the big screen once again, as the Russo brothers—Anthony and Joe, who directed Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame—return to helm the latest chapter in the Avengers saga. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1st, 2026.

In other news, the first trailer for Rust has been released more than three years after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins tragically lost her life on the film’s set. Hutchins is listed in the credits for the Western, which is set in 1880s Kansas. Her husband and son are reportedly set to receive profits from the film as part of a wrongful death lawsuit settlement. Last year, an involuntary manslaughter case against star Alec Baldwin was dismissed. Rust is slated to premiere in theaters and on VOD on May 2nd.
