Although Anna Kendrick’s character, “Dana,” did not return for the recent sequel, O’Connor has long planned a trilogy for the franchise. He told The New York Times that he’s been in touch with Kendrick, and the actress has expressed her full enthusiasm for coming back.

“I’ve been texting with Anna, and she said she’s a hundred percent in if we want,” O’Connor shared. Fans of the original film, which saw Kendrick’s Dana and Ben Affleck’s Chris connect through a series of events, will likely be thrilled at the prospect of seeing their characters again.
