(CNN)- A familiar face is stepping back into the spotlight. Allison Janney, who joined Netflix’s The Diplomat in season three, will return not just for another season, but beyond. Netflix confirmed Janney, along with her West Wing co-star Bradley Whitford, will be promoted from guest stars to series regulars in season four. Production begins this fall.
Netflix also announced a renewal for its supernatural thriller Haunted Hotel, which will return for a second season of spooky storytelling.
On network TV, ABC’s High Potential is heating up. In Tuesday’s (Sept. 30) episode, Ava finds herself in trouble after being caught vandalizing — though it turns out she was defacing one of her father’s murals. Actress Amirah-J teased that Ava’s curiosity will lead to even more drama. “Ava kind of starts poking her nose where it doesn’t belong … trying to be a detective in a way … which doesn’t make her mom very happy,” she said.
Meanwhile, gamers got some exciting news.
