PERRY, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Veterans Warhawks (13-12) defeated the Perry Panthers (20-6) in the Panther Pit on Senior Night in eight innings after several lead changes throughout the game.

Veterans took the lead first with one run, but Perry grabbed four runs in the bottom second to take the lead 4-1.

However, Veterans went on a hitting streak in the top third to earn five runs of their own and regain the lead back 6-4.

In the bottom third, Perry took control once again. The Panthers scored five runs of their own to take the lead back again with a score of 9-6.

The first three innings were an hour and a half.

However, after Veterans scored three more runs to send the game into extra innings, the Warhawks grabbed another three runs in the top eighth to seal the victory 12-9
