HIGHLIGHTS: Rutland shuts down Central 13-0 in scrimmage

The Rutland Hurricanes shut out the Central Chargers in a scrimmage game 13-0

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Rutland Hurricanes and Central Chargers met at Ed Defore Sports Complex for a scrimmage game Friday night. After being tied at 0-0 going into the half, Rutland came out and scored just minutes into the second half when wide reciever Kentavious Spivey took the jet sweep in the endzone for the touchdown to make it 6-0.  The Hurricanes would go on to win 13-0.

Rutland and Central will both be playing in the First Annual Gridiron Classic at FVSU Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August 17th.

Central will face Dougherty at 2 p.m. Friday and Rutland will take on Bleckley County on Saturday at noon.
