HIGHLIGHTS: Macon Mayhem lose thriller on Pink Out Night

The Macon Mayhem lost to the Evansville Thunderbolts 3-2 in a shootout at home Friday Night

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Mayhem lost to the Evansville Thunderbolts 3-2 in a shootout at home Friday on Pink Out Night for the Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Mayhem came out hot to start with a goal in under 10 seconds from Brett Mecrones on the Tanner Nagel assist to make it 1-0.

In the second period, Alex LaPlante pulls it out of the wall, flies to the net, and hits the shot while falling down to give the Mayhem a 2-0 lead.

However, Evansville would tie things up.

First, they scored a goal in the second period, then with 40 seconds left in the game, scored another to head into overtime at 2-2.

The game ultimately went to a shootout where Macon missed three shots, and Evansville made three of four to win the game.

The Mayhem host the Thunderbolts once again Saturday.
