HIGHLIGHTS: GCSU Baseball Wins PBC Championship on Walk off Home Run

GCSU Bobcats (34-20) go undefeated in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament to Win PBC Championship

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s been an incredible 2024 for Milledgeville so far. The Baldwin High School girls basketball team won their first ever State Championship, GMC Prep boys soccer won their second State Title in four years after coming up short in the championship in 2023, John Milledge Academy baseball is in the GIAA AAA Final Four, and the GCSU Bobcats baseball squad is now taking home the Peach Belt Conference Championship after defeating Flagler College 6-4 in game one Thursday and winning game two Friday 5-4 on a two run home run walk off from Matthew Mebane.

After being down 4-0 in the bottom of the eighth, the Bobcats rallied off five runs in the last two innings to win it all.

GCSU went undefeated in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament en route to winning the PBC Championship. Mebane won MVP of the PBC Tournament.
