High Winds Knock Out Power for Several Hundred Middle Georgians
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Sunday’s high winds knocked out power for several hundred middle Georgians.
Georgia Power spokesperson Carol Boatright says downed trees and limbs hit power lines knocking power out for about 680 customers. About 500 customers are in the Macon area, and the rest are located near Hawkinsville. Power is expected to be restored to everyone before midnight.
Flint Energies is also reporting about 522 customers are without power in 20 different locations. A majority of the customers affected are located just west of Oglethorpe.
