Helping Hands volunteers prepare to feed 300 people on Christmas Day

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Volunteers are gearing up for the 10th Annual Helping Hands Christmas Dinner.

On Christmas Day at noon, more than 120 volunteers are serving turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and desserts at First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins.

“The real reason we do this is we want to share the love of Jesus Christ,” says Kevin Thomson.

Thomson is spearheading the project.  He expects to serve 300 people free Christmas dinners. Thomson is a student pastor at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

“We want to share that love by feeding those in the community and sharing a meal together and being able to talk with those and have fellowship in the name of Jesus Christ,” adds Thomson.
