Helicopters Out Searching For Missing 71 Year Old Man; Update
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police, Macon-Bibb firefighters, Macon-Bibb EMA, the local National Guard, Georgia State Patrol’s helicopter unit, K-9 Units from the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, Warner Robins Police, and Georgia Department of Corrections are currently at Riverside Cemetery in Macon to search for missing 71 year old David Mann.
Mann’s van was found around 7:30a.m. Wednesday inside the cemetery, however Mann was not inside his vehicle. Investigators are conducting a grid search of the area to try and locate him.
41NBC is on the scene as officials continue to search for clues and any evidence as to where Mann might be. Investigators say this is being treated as a medical emergency because Mann has diabetes and is thought to have missed taking his insulin Tuesday before he was reported missing.
