Heavy rain is likely to bring flooding concerns to Middle Georgia Wednesday and Thursday

Good evening,
We have had a break from heavy rain across Middle Georgia for much of the night, but rain is moving back in and we could see significant flooding across the area.

A low pressure system is setting up just to our west and will bring continued heavy rain through the southeast, especially Middle Georgia, tomorrow.

Timing wise we will see the heaviest rain during the afternoon on Wednesday and overnight into Thursday morning.

We currently have a Flash Flood Watch across much of the viewing area. This is because we are expecting 2-3″ of additional rainfall on top of already saturated soils.

Sunshine finally returns through the end of the week! Be sure to find your sunglasses by Friday, when high pressure moves in and brings dry weather through the middle of next week!
