Health News: Sepsis considered medical emergency

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Sepsis isn’t something you think of when you’re heading to the doctor, but it’s considered a medical emergency.

Sepsis affects people who already have a chronic disease.

It’s when the body’s response to infection injures its own tissues and organs.

Dr. Nicole Haig-Jasper from Coliseum Health Systems joins 41NBC to talk more about it.
