Hawks Still Confident After Game 5 Slips Away
ATLANTA – For a team that knows its season could be one-and-done, the Atlanta Hawks are still feeling quite confident about their chances in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The underdog Hawks have played three competitive games in Chicago, winning one and putting the top-seeded Bulls on the ropes in Game 5.
Chicago bounced back for 95-83 victory that pushed them to a 3-2 lead in the hotly contested series. They can wrap it up Thursday night in Atlanta.
But the Hawks believe they’ll have an advantage if they can force a Game 7 back in the Windy City. After all, the Bulls put up the NBA’s best record during the regular season with 62 wins – 18 more than Atlanta. Guard Jeff Teague says all the pressure will be on Chicago if the series is decided Sunday.
