Hawkinsville Family Reunites with Missing Daughter in Miami

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 16-year-old Madison Conner is safe with her parents in Miami.

The Hawkinsville teenager went missing on February 23 from her parents’ home and hadn’t been heard from until Tuesday afternoon, when law enforcement in south Florida contacted Madison’s father, Wes.

Wes spoke by phone with his daughter Tuesday before the family left for the airport in Atlanta.

Family spokesperson Ken Clark tells 41NBC the family’s late flight from Atlanta to Miami was delayed and its flight back to Georgia from Miami, which was supposed to leave at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, was also delayed.

He says the family might not be back in Georgia until Thursday but the important thing is that Madison is now safe with her parents.

Pulaski County Sheriff Billy Cape told us Tuesday he was “tickled to death” Madison was located unharmed but he declined to go on camera.

The teenager is expected to be interviewed by local law enforcement when she returns home.
