MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —New Year’s celebrations will be taking place across Middle Georgia on Tuesday.
Here is a list of where to celebrate:
Perry Buzzard Drop:
The 10th annual Perry Buzzard Drop will be on December 31. The event will be from 7 p.m. to midnight in Downtown Perry.
There will be live entertainment and an interactive Kiddie Countdown. The Kiddie Countdown allows families to celebrate New Year’s Eve without having to stay out until midnight. The Kiddie Countdown begins at 8 p.m.
Road closures will begin at 3 p.m. and impact the following streets:
- Carroll Street from Washington Street to Jernigan Street
- Ball Street from Commerce Street to Main Street
There will be a courtesy shuttle on Jernigan Street. The shuttle begins at 10 p.m. and is only available to people who live within Perry’s city limits. The shuttle services ends after midnight.
The Peach Bowl will be live streamed on Ball Street. No outside coolers or personal heaters are allowed.
New Year’s Eve Forsythia Ball Drop:
The annual New Year’s Eve Forsythia Ball Drop and Downtown Block Party will be on December 31. The event begins at 8 p.m. and goes until midnight in Downtown Forsyth.
BMuzick Band will begin at 8 p.m. and go until 10 p.m. Ronsherick DjRon Dumas will begin at 10 p.m. and go until the ball drop at midnight.
There will be a food truck at the event for attendees. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Confetti poppers are not allowed.
New Year’s Eve Shamrock Drop:
The annual New Year’s Eve Shamrock Drop will be on December 31. The event begins at 8 p.m. and goes until 12:30 a.m. in Downtown Dublin.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to set up in the Theatre Dublin parking lot. There will be live music from Eight Track Flashback. Attendees are allowed to bring coolers.
