Bibb Deputies investigating shooting on Edna Place

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man is in the hospital after a shooting on Edna Place earlier Thursday night. Bibb Deputies responded to the call earlier and are now on the scene looking for clues as to what happened.

The victim and witnesses both told authorities that he was driving down Edna Place toward Napier Avenue when a black car with tinted windows pulled up next to him and began shooting.

The victim sustained one gun shot wound to his rear end. He was taken to Navicent Health Hospital for treatment.

Sergeant Linda Howard with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says they have reason to believe the victim may know who the shooter is but at this time he isn’t willing to say any names.
