Hancock County Double Homicide Ongoing Investigation
On Sunday evening, a double homicide that took place at 141 Tommie Lane around 9:30 left some Hancock County residents on high alert.
According to GBI Special Agent in Charge Tom Davis, the victims were shot at the residence they shared together.
“We had two victims, Darryl Scott, a young…34-years-old and Deidra Green she was 31-years-old,” says Davis.
Yellow ribbons now hang from the mailboxes leading up to the house because of neighbor, Connie Boyer.
“I asked the neighbors to put them on their mailboxes to represent her and Darryl, both of them,” says Boyer.
Boyer says she heard the gunshots Sunday evening and since then, has struggled with sleepless nights.
“I just haven’t been able to sleep, since Sunday. I might take a small nap, but I’m back up…”
According to Davis the motive is unknown as this time. He says the leads are coming in and the GBI will continue to work with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office to solve the case.
