Hall and Williams Land A-Sun Weekly Honors

MACON, Ga. (A-SUN RELEASE) – Mercer’s Langston Hall and Lipscomb’s Josh Williams earned the Atlantic Sun Men’s Basketball weekly awards, announced Monday by the league office.

Hall continued his great play at Hawkins Arena as the senior point guard led the Bears to two victories as he averaged 22.5 points with six assists. From behind-the-arc, Hall was deadly as he connected on 14 of his 26 attempts including eight in the win vs. NKU. Along the way, Hall passed Houston Baptist’s Fred Goporo for third all-time in the A-Sun record books for career assists.

Lipscomb’s Josh Williams helped the Bisons clinch a spot in the 2014 A-Sun Men’s Basketball Championship with a league-leading eighth road victory. Williams averaged 18 points with 7.5 RPG including 22 points with nine rebounds and six assists in the win at Kennesaw State.
