Gun Shots and Explosions During GA Officers Training
When a life is on the line the public depends on law enforcement to step up to the challenge. Today officers prepared for the worst by simulating front line situations and responding with solid judgment.
“The teams from all over the state learn a lot, learn a lot of new techniques. We’ve got to be able to learn these things in order have some safer deployments when we go on some missions,” said Lieutenant Richard Crooms of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Crooms understands the value of being prepared today he briefed officers on how to use a distraction flare to make time for a smooth entrance.
“These are when we would use some dynamic entries into a residence like a barricaded gunman or some situation like that where our lives or someone else life is in danger. So we would deploy a distraction device in order to allow us to get in more safely,” said Crooms.
