Gun Found in Car at Rutland High School

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Faculty and Campus Police found a gun in a student’s car today at Rutland High School.  According to a news release from the school district, the car was searched after the four students inside were attempting to leave campus.  Campus Police found the gun in the glove box.

The student driver is charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and was taken to Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.  The other three students weren’t charged, but will face discipline from the school system.
