Grant’s Lounge Celebrates 40 Years

A Middle Georgia business is celebrating 40 years in downtown Macon. Today, Grant’s Lounge announced a list of events to commemorate the anniversary.

Hundreds of performers once took the stage at the historic nightclub including the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wet Willie and Charlie Daniels.

“We are the only club of its type to have been in business for 40 years. It’s very hard in night life to try to run a business like this, but we are so excited about the anniversary,” said owner Cheryl Grant Louder.

The 40th anniversary celebration is March 2-5. Organizers say you can expect a variety of music including blues, gospel and line dancing. Grant’s Lounge is located on Poplar Street in downtown Macon.
