Grand Opera House Showcases New Renovations

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – The Grand Opera House held an open house Tuesday night to give the community a chance to see its three million dollars in renovations.

The biggest change is the addition of two large windows bricked up in the 1970’s. The windows now provide a street view from the refurbished Encore Room and the newly constructed CenterState Reception Room.

The new reception spaces will be available for private events, parties, business meetings and meet-and-greets with artists.

Other upgrades include a bar area and updates to the bathroom.

The Grand Opera House is located at 651 Mulberry Street. And it will officially be reopened for performances on Oct. 19th.
