MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Democratic candidate for Vice President, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, will travel to Georgia Monday night for a series of political events in Macon and Atlanta.

The trip will begin with Walz’s arrival in Macon at 10 p.m. on Monday, September 16, at Middle Georgia Regional Airport.

On Tuesday morning, Walz will deliver brief remarks at a political event in Macon starting at 10 a.m.

Later, at 12:45 p.m., Walz will arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport before participating in additional political events in Atlanta.

After his visit to Macon and Atlanta, Walz is scheduled to continue campaigning in North Carolina.

The deadline to register to vote in the November election is October 7 in Georgia. Early voting begins October 15. Election day is November 5.
