Governor prepares for medical marijuana law
ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The state is preparing for the medical marijuana bill to go into effect.
Governor Nathan Deal will sign an executive order Friday morning. It says state agencies required to set up the cannabis oil registry to start immediately working so it can be done as quickly possible.
This week House Bill 1 cleared all the legislative hurdles and now goes to the governor’s desk for his signature.
Deal is expected to sign HB 1 into law after session ends on April 2.
