GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Gordon City Council voted this week to approve a forensic audit following a split decision, citing concerns during a transition in the city clerk’s office.

On December 31, the Gordon City Council approved the audit after a 4-2 vote. Mayor Aprill Adside Smith says the audit is needed to ensure city business is in order as the city clerk position is currently vacant.
