GOP Candidate for Bibb County Sheriff Drops Out of Race

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Shawn Fritz, the lone candidate in the GOP race for Bibb County Sheriff, has decided to withdraw from the race.

According to a news release, Fritz is leaving the race due to health concerns and an increased workload at his current job.

Suzanne Wood, the Bibb County Republican Chairman says “Shawn Fritz is a prime example of someone who came forward to become a candidate for the right reasons.”

Democrat David Davis will run unopposed in the November election.
