Goodwill hosts job fair in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Goodwill hosted a job fair Thursday afternoon at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon.

Hundreds of people lined up to attend the fair. The event was from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. More than 30 employers provided information to job seekers about current job openings in Middle Georgia.

Event organizers say this is a great time for employers to meet with applicants face to face.

“When they get the online application, or resume, they’ll be able to put that face with a name and you know, they’ll know a little more about you,” says Regional Employment Services Manager, Jennifer Welch.

Last year, Goodwill helped more than 4,600 individuals find employment.
