Get Some Exercise and Help Local Kids

If one of your New Years resolutions is to lose weight, how about a fun run/walk for a good cause?  Today, WIBB radio personality “Dirty” announced the 7th annual “Dirty Runs the City 10K Fun Run/Walk.”

To participate in the race head out to Macon‘s CentralCityParkon Martin Luther King Day, that’s Monday January 17.  The cost is $20 and all proceeds benefit the Macon Mentors Project.  You can register in advanced by visiting www.bibb.k12.ga.us.  You can also sign up on race day at 7am; the event kicks off at 8am.

January is National Mentoring Month.  Mentors Project Founder, June O’Neal, says we need more than 75 additional mentors to help kids here in Middle Georgia.

If you would like more information about mentoring or the upcoming race call the mentors project at (478) 765-8624.
