Georgia Tech Coach Not Giving Up Secrets On Offense
ATLANTA – Georgia Tech is off to a stunning start with its triple-option offense.
The 25th-ranked Yellow Jackets lead the nation in scoring at nearly 60 points a game, and they’re also atop the rankings in rushing yards, total yards and even passing efficiency.
But the level of competition is about to go up. Georgia Tech (3-0) can count on much stiffer test Saturday in their Atlantic Coast Conference opener against North Carolina.
The Tar Heels (3-0, 1-0 ACC) are a program in transition, facing serious NCA allegations and playing this season with an interim coach, Everett Withers. Still, they’re off to their best start in conference play since 2000.
They certainly look much tougher on defense than any of Georgia Tech’s first three opponents.
