Georgia State Fair Returns for the Weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An old tradition returns once again, as the Georgia State Fair began Thursday at Central City park in Macon.

The fair runs through the weekend, ending Sunday night at 10pm.

Nick Harmeier, Vice President of Business Development for the company that runs the fair, says there will be several different kinds of attractions for people to come and see, as well as the typical fair offerings of corn dogs, funnel cakes, and cotton candy.

The Georgia State Fair opens at 4pm Friday, 10am Saturday, and noon on Sunday. Cost of admission is $7 for adults, and $5 for children & seniors. Parking is free.

This is the spring edition of the fair, as a fall version will be held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in October.
