1 injured in shooting near Georgia Southern Armstrong campus
Georgia Southern issues all-clear after shots fired outside Windward Commons, one person hospitalized.

SAVANNAH, Georgia (CNN/WTOC) — Georgia Southern University issued an all-clear Tuesday evening following a shelter-in-place order prompted by a report of shots fired near the Armstrong campus.
The incident occurred just after 7:15 p.m. outside Windward Commons, a residential area on campus. Law enforcement responded promptly to the scene, and school officials later confirmed that the situation was under control.
Injured person taken to hospital
According to Savannah Police, at least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment. School officials clarified that the individual injured in the shooting is not a student at Georgia Southern.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted after law enforcement confirmed that there was no ongoing threat to the campus. Georgia Southern officials assured students and staff that the situation had been resolved.
