Georgia Promise Scholarship application deadline is April 15: Here’s what families need to know
Families can apply for $6,500 in educational support through the Georgia Promise Scholarship program before the April 15 deadline.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The application for the Georgia Promise Scholarship closes on April 15, 2025, and families across the state are encouraged to apply before the deadline. This educational choice program offers eligible students $6,500 in public funds for use on non-public education expenses in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
Families can use the funds for private school tuition, tutoring services, and other qualified education expenses, making it a valuable opportunity for those seeking alternatives to their local public schools.

To qualify, students must meet all of the following requirements:

Be enrolled in a Georgia public school for the 2024–2025 school year, or entering kindergarten for the 2025–2026 school year.

Live within the attendance zone of a lower-performing public school listed by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. View the list here.

Have a parent who has been a Georgia resident for at least one year (except active-duty military families).

Not currently receive the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship or Georgia Student Scholarship Organization Scholarship (tax-credit or GOAL).
