US Rep. Doug Collins to lead recount team as voter fraud allegations continue

ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – US Rep. Doug Collins will lead a recount team in the state of Georgia for the Trump campaign.

The President’s campaign tapped Collins, a republican candidate for US Senate, on Sunday as  allegations of voter fraud made by Trump. These allegations include key states Georgia and Pennsylvania. Collins says that he is “confident” that they’ll “find evidence of improperly harvested ballots and other irregularities.”

This comes as recounts are not likely to change the outcome of the races, according to the Associated Press. AP projected President-Elect Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential race on Saturday.

According to data provided Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office, Biden won Georgia by about 10,000 votes.
