Georgia Power gives Macon-Bibb County a $25K check
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Power gave the Macon-Bibb’s Facilities Management Department a $25,000 dollar check. It is the latest rebate check the county has received as part of Georgia Power’s Commercial Energy Efficiency Program.
We’re told the county saves money through the program when it uses energy-efficient lighting and electrical equipment.
“We are really thankful for Georgia Power to offer these incentive programs,” says Macon-Bibb Facilities Management Asst. Deputy Director, Ernest Queen. “They not only help us with the rebates and the money we get on that, but also for future energy savings.”
Last year, the department installed high-efficiency lighting at the newest Macon-Bibb County Fire station on Weaver Road, as well as city parks and recreational centers.
